Introduction

You would say this when you feel something’s suspicious or a little off. I guess this clearly describes 7 of us as a whole to be shady. But don’t worry! We try not to rub off our coldness on this blog. STOP BEING DOUBTFUL AND JUST TRUST US. Still not convinced? Well here’s a brief introduction about who’s behind Something Fishy. We hope you are able to understand us just a teeny bit better.

Malaysia is a beautiful country, and I should be proud to be a Malaysian. At least, that's what people tell me, Jane Cho Wei Zhen. I am 18 years old and a mere 168cm, but I prefer being 168cm over 186cm. At least I have a lower centre of gravity and thus, don't fall as much. My family and I live in Damansara. They're my parents and my 22 year old brother named Brandon, who graduated from Monash University and is currently working in EY. I consider myself an ordinary girl, except that I don't like watching movies. In my free time, I love going out with friends that's me, but I'd also love to travel the world with my friends and family. That's what motivates me to enter the public relations and marketing line in the next 4 years, where I hope to excel in and get enough money to travel the world in style.

Fatyn Afiqah, born on the 24th of September 1998 to my Singaporean Malay-Muslim parents in the Lion City. A caring sister to 4 younger siblings. Migrated to Miri, Sarawak in 2009 and has lived there since. Loves photography, travelling and enjoys editing videos as a pastime. A sweet tooth who does baking for fun, and has been told to have quite a talent. Oh and not to mention I'm also an adrenaline junkie! Dislikes waking up early for school and paper-cuts. Unsure of what my future holds for me but as a person who is known to be optimistic, I'm excited!

My name is Ting Yie Chee, but usually been called as Apple Ting. I was born on the 4th of February 1996, now I'm officially 19 years old! I come from a small town in Sarawak called Bintulu. I graduated from SM KAI DEE MIDDLE SCHOOL in 2014. I’m in love with travelling, eating and acting and you might say dancing is also one of my favourite hobbies too! I love to travel because I can enjoy the food, culture, and scenery during the journey. The other reason that I like to travel is that I can be with my family. It is because it enables us to make our relationship closer. Now, I'm taking Foundation in Communication, the reason I chose Mass Communication was because I like to talk with other people but I cannot communicate well with others fluently through English because I can’t speak English well. I am also worried that people may laugh at me or they don’t understand what I am saying but I feel grateful because I have many chances to speak English and my friends are patient to listen what I am talking about. Besides, my dream is to become a broadcaster. So I will trust myself and strive till the end!

Hi my name is Umar Abdullah Ashar. I like to think of myself being 16 even though I’m turning 17 later this year. I spent most of my life studying in Malaysia but I also was given the chance by my parents to be much more exposed than most people. In fact, I spent the first 8 months of this year in the U.S. and I can assure you, it was time worth spent. Currently I'm doing a foundation in communication in Taylor's University on their Lakeside Campus. In 5 years time I see myself doing my masters abroad, most probably back in the U.S. or probably in the UK. I'm not going to rush on that. Anyways, my life story isn't as amazing as one would think. Hey Connie here! Just wanted to introduce and say a few things about myself. I am 18 years old. Currently studying at Taylors Lakeside University. I was an ex-cheerleader but never flexible to start with. I like all  kinds of dessert, no wonder I never lose weight. I also love travelling especially during the winter season because I live in Malaysia where the weather is always hot. The thing I hate most is flying cockroaches, they are just scary insects. I am a little scared of heights but likes riding roller coasters. I always procrastinate which is a bad thing. So, basically that’s me above. Do check out our blog posts!

To whoever that is reading this, Hi! I’m Neveen (the one on the right), born on the 25th of November 1997. Im mixed race ( Half Arabic & Half Chinese). I am the youngest in the family and I have and elder brother.  I have a huge love for travelling & would love to travel with my friends someday. Huge animal lover, I’ll get very attached to animals easily ( can’t help it). I also love anything related to the ‘horror’ category ( horror movies, haunted house.. and so on) & last but not least I love love love theme parks! I’m not scared to try out any rides and will do anything to try out the best theme parks worldwide.

My full name is Syed Mukmin bin Syed Mahadzir. As you can tell from my name, I am Malay. I lived in Subang for the first few years of my life but then I moved to Sungai Buloh which is kind of far from where I’m studying currently. I am the youngest in my family so I was teased a lot by my elder brothers in my younger days. I will either play video games or watch movies (especially Marvel movies) during my free time. So far I am enjoying my time here in Taylor’s University and I hope it will continue that way for me and my friends.
